A letter to our mothers and grandmothers

You will reach an age where you see wrinkles, gray hair and extra pounds. Menopause will have appeared or just waiting around the corner.

You see the cute 25-year-olds and reminisce.

But you were also 25, just as they one day will be your age.

What they bring to the table with their youth and zest, you bring your wisdom, experience and good hearts.

Everything you’ve  been through to serve every gray hair... raise families, run households, pay bills, deal with diseases, sadness and everything else life assigns us.

You are survivors... you are warriors in the quiet... you are women...like a classic car or a fine wine.

Even if your bodies may not be what it once was, it carries your soul, your courage and your strength.

You shall all enter this chapter of your lives with humility and pride over everything you have been through and should never feel bad about getting older. It's a privilege that is denied many.

Have the best international women’s day on Friday. Be real and be you.

THANK YOU FOR BEING.YOU
