Victor Perton - Chief Optimism Officer | Keynote Speaker talking optimism

"#Optimism is an essential characteristic for #leaders, because being optimistic allows them to inspire people, to see opportunities even in adverse situations, and to lead people to a better future.

More specifically, optimistic politicians are perceived as more appealing to voters, and school teachers who are optimistic about the future of their students help them to obtain higher academic achievements."

This is a passage I really like in the study by Coelho, Vilar, Hanel, Monteiro, Ribeiro, and Gouveia,

"Optimism Scale: Evidence of Psychometric Validity in Two Countries and Correlations with Personality." The study found that the 9-item Optimism Scale was a reliable measure of optimism in both the UK and #Brazil, with broadly consistent results across genders and cultures. The authors concluded that it is a sound cross-cultural measure of optimism.

My takeaway is simple. Optimism is one of leadership's practical strengths. It helps people see further, act with greater confidence, and build a better future together.

Who are the infectiously optimistic leaders you admire?
