Such a great post about the legendary Paul Signorelli OAM by a fellow #insider @jen Gaudet who I had the privilege to meet at #jt foxx event at the Sydney Opera House .
Some entrepreneurs build companies.

The rare ones, like Paul do both so seamlessly you can’t see the dividing line.
Paul is the force behind some of Sydney’s top venues (including one in the Sydney Opera House) and the Biaggio Signorelli Foundation, which has raised over $15 million for mesothelioma research.

1. Building “giving back” as part of your business DNA creates a meaningful purpose for your entire group - it can be the glue that aligns your business - which is the fuel for growth
2. It’s ok to diversify into different businesses as long as your Vision, Your Purpose and your Values are aligned .
Paul’s ventures span hospitality, events, and philanthropy, but they’re tied together by values.

Reminds me of this saying by my mentor Allen Pathmarajah

3. Turn pain into power.
He transformed personal loss into a movement that saves lives. Your hardest story might be your greatest contribution.
4. Lead locally, not just loudly.
Profit matters, but credibility and contribution matter more. Build something your community claims as its own.
If your business only builds balance sheets and not a legacy, you’re playing small.
